Ask The Lonely
You’ve been picked and it’s over What’s the chip on your shoulder? Outside were solid rainbows Inside is where the heart grows Picking up the pieces Something more to believe in
As you search the embers Think what you’ve had, remember Hang on, don’t you let go now You know, with every heartbeat, we love Nothing comes easy Hang on, ask the lonely
You’ve got some fascination With your high expectations This love is your obsession Your heart, your past possession Let down your defences Won’t be up to the one who cares
As you search the embers Think what you’ve had, remember Hang on, don’t you let go now You know, with every heartbeat, we love Nothing comes easy
Hang on, ask the lonely When you’re feeling love’s unfair You just ask the lonely When you’re lost in deep despair You just ask the lonely
(chorus twice)
Ask the lonely When you’re down in deep despair When you’re down in deep despair Ask the lonely Lonely

When I started this journey to the more truer me, I read alot of inspiring things, I thought alot of inspiring things, and I have written a few inspiring things here in this blog. But lets get to the nitty gritty here, this is tough. This is a pathway of getting to know who I truly am. In the beginning when it was all new and fun, just like a new love, I felt all the right things. I danced around and said encouraging words to myself: you can do it! you are awesome! you are following your dream! But when the happy voice inside quiets down, old habits emerge. Staying on the track requires constant inner dialogue, and keeping that dialogue positive is the toughest. You know its easy to be positive and stay the course for a couple days, or even a couple weeks. But what happens when the happy thoughts are quiet?
Being in your head so much can get a bit lonely. So many of the things written about happiness talk about soul searching and loving yourself, blah blah blah. Talking to yourself is one thing, but trying learn about yourself is another story. You have to ask yourself questions, and then you have answer them! And then the problem with the answer is sometimes there is more than one answer, and you have to figure out which one is the truth. Usually, the tough answers are the true ones.
When they say “listen to your heart” they need to add that you might need to decipher what it is saying. We can all listen, but is doesn’t mean we understand what its saying.
